Helping Our First Grade Friends While Building A Sense Of Community @resvt @Hackettb #VTED #TECHED #Community #PebbleGo

Mrs. Hackett asked if we could help her students log into their computers and navigate their way through PebbleGo.  We had so much fun and got to help our friends choose the animal they're going to research!

In science, students have been learning about renewable and nonrenewable energy resources.  Students chose a resource that interested them, learned about that specific type of energy, then decided how to teach each other, and the world, what they had learned.  Enjoy their AMAZING presentations!

Preparing For Our Assembly To Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. @resvt @Kdarling7112 @margaretmather3

Fourth graders and their kindergarten buddies will lead the school assembly to celebrate and honor the life of Martin Luther King!  There is no school on Monday to honor his life and legacy, and to allow people to serve their communities.  Together, we are thinking about ways we can help our families and communities.

We Will Be Participating In The GeoBee Soon! @resvt @NatGeo #GeoBee

The week of January 14th, fourth graders will be participating in the National Geographic School Bee.  This is a fun experience that builds community and encourages us to think about the world beyond Vermont.  The GeoBee is meant to be a fun experience that motivates us to think and learn!
If kids would like to take some time to prepare, below are links they may find helpful.  The GeoBee will ask questions about locations around the world, history, culture, & climate, while also focusing on vocabulary.  We will also do a little prep in the classroom to get kids excited and feeling ready to participate in the GeoBee!
