RES Reads Celebration & The Cheryl Jennings Reading Programs: Everyone Got An Awesome Free Book To Keep FOREVER! @resvt #Read #Community

We had so much fun today celebrating all of our awesome reading 
during RES Reads!  Thank you to everyone who helped their kids 
read for at least 20 minutes a day! Our goal was to read for a total 
of 19,320 minutes as a fourth grade team over the past three 
weeks; we exceeded our goal!!! Fourth graders read for a total of 
23,238 minutes!!!  We are so proud of everyone!

To celebrate all of our reading, each student got to choose a free 
book to keep forever!!! Then we had an awesome fourth grade 
reading party!!!  Thank you to Bill Jennings and the Cheryl 
Jennings Reading Programs for making this program possible!

In Cheryl Jennings’ honnor, Bill Jennings donated $300.00 to us 
this year to purchase all of these incredible books.  Over the years, 
hundreds of children have gotten free books thanks to the Cheryl 
Jennings Reading Programs.  If you would like to make a

Enjoying the Sunshine & Crazy Hair Day! @resvt #Read #PBIS

Now that it's nice outside, we try to get some fresh air whenever we can.  We had a great time cuddling up with some of our favorite books, and reading outside!  Students also enjoyed celebrating their RES Pride on "Crazy Hair Day"!
I can't believe that it's almost the end of the year!  Please remind your children to continue to do their best and focus on all the incredible things we still get to learn this year!  Thank you!

May 31: Track Meet at MMU: Leave RES at 8:30am

June 1: Move Up Day: Kids are at CHMS ALL day, they do not come to RES

June 4: DCF Pizza Party: During lunch for kids who read 5 or more DCF books

June 6: Make Vermont Projects: 8:15-9:45 & 10:40-11:55 Volunteers needed

June 12: Vermont History Fair 7:45-8:45, Parents look at our projects

June 13:  Run-Walk-A-Thon, Field Day and BBQ: 10:00-2:00

June 14: Richmond History Quest:  Leave RES at 10:00 return at 12:00

June 19: Graduation in the gym: 6:00-7:00pm, 7:00-7:30pm reception in cafeteria, please bring a dessert to share.  Make sure to label if your dessert is nut free, dairy free or gluten free.

What an AMAZING day! We loved visiting Fort Ticonderoga and learning about Vermont's incredible history!  We felt like we had traveled back in time as we marched with soldiers and explored the fort.  Thank you to all of our chaperones who made the long winding journey with us, and helped to make this day possible!

Yesterday, we kicked off RES Reads with the entire fourth grade!  Today, we brought home awesome books and reading logs to fill with all the minutes we read!  We will celebrate our awesome reading with a huge fourth grade reading party and by choosing a favorite book to keep forever!  We are so thankful to Bill Jennings and the Cheryl Jennings Reading Programs for making all of this possible!
