Students Made A Mural To Honor The Heart Of Patricia Polacco's Book, "Thank You Mr. Falker"!

After reading aloud Patricia Polacco's moving book Thank You Mr. Falker to the class, Colin thought that we should create a mural that celebrates the heart of her story!  Students made mural designs then voted on the one they wanted to create.  Students chose Lily's idea!

Students sketched out her design then started to paint!

Everyday when we look at this beautiful mural, we will be reminded of the fact that we all have things that are hard for us, AND if we ask for help, work hard, and try our best, we will be successful at ANYTHING we set our minds to!  We understand that we need to have a growth mindset, and that we can "fake it 'til we BECOME it"!
