I read aloud The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds. Students then talked about the author's message and its connection to "fake it 'til you BECOME it!" Students then talked about how being brave, diving in, and being okay to make mistakes, helps us to learn and grow and accomplish anything we set our minds to.
Fourth graders then made their mark by creating dots. The dots and some of their values illuminate our door, welcoming everyone to our classroom!
